First Application of LD-ECC at YLS Development

Our Glorious Concrete (Hong Kong) Limited has successfully developed an innovative Low-Density Engineered Cementitious Composite (LD-ECC), which has been applied for the first time in the Civil Engineering and Development Department's (CEDD) Yuen Long South (YLS) First Phase Infrastructure Works. This marks a significant breakthrough in Hong Kong's road construction field.

The project, jointly undertaken by CEDD's West Development Office, CREC (Main Contractor), and AECOM (Consultant), recently held the embankment topping-out ceremony. As the inventor and supplier of LD-ECC, Glorious Concrete were proud to witness this historic moment, which further advances Hong Kong's vision for innovation, efficiency, and sustainable development in the construction industry.
