The construction industry has long faced the challenge of a high smoking population. To create a healthier working environment, Sanfield is actively promoting a series of positive changes. By the end of 2024, we partnered with the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health (COSH) to provide professional smoking cessation support to our team.

In 2024, Sanfield, in collaboration with Bank of China (Hong Kong), became one of the cross-industry institutions selected to participate in Phase 2 of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's 'e-HKD' Pilot Programme! Within the 'e-HKD' sandbox provided by the HKMA, we are researching the application of blockchain and innovative technologies to create on-chain smart contracts. This aims to achieve effective applications for dedicated fund use and prepayment scenarios, hoping to contribute to the healthy development of the financial infrastructure of the Hong Kong construction industry's capital chain and ensure that all stakeholders in the industry receive their due protection.

In collaboration with DBS Bank (Hong Kong), we launched the first sustainable performance-linked supplier payment solution in the Hong Kong construction industry. This solution marks a significant milestone for Sanfield in extending its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives to its suppliers and contractors, while setting new standards for the construction industry.
