Sanfield De Café: Serving a Taste of Community

Ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Sanfield partnered with the RAINBOW FOUNDATION, NOAH'S ARK, and St. James' Settlement - Hong Kong to transform the Harvest Restaurant at Noah's Ark Hong Kong into a nostalgic, old-school Hong Kong Café. Over forty volunteers from our "Sanfield Connect" became "waiters for a day," serving classic Hong Kong delicacies to a hundred of our senior friends. The pop-up café also featured a tasting of classic Hong Kong snacks and the "Scented Stories Studio" workshop, allowing them to relive fond memories of yesteryear amidst joy and laughter.

Driven by the sobering reality that 45.1% of seniors in our community experience social isolation, the initiative was created to foster a sense of belonging and rebuild vital community ties.
