(Deputy / Assistant) Engineering Manager (Civil & Structural)
Responsibilities
- To perform the role of Technically Competent Person (TCP) in the Supervision Plan under Buildings Ordinance
- Oversee and ensure the quality control of all structural works and supervise routine works inspection to maintain high standards
- Manage structural matters, including temporary works design, method statement, site construction
- Monitor site work progress in close coordination with Project Team, Site Team and sub-contractors
- Attend regular site meetings, identify potential engineering issues and provide practical solutions
- Prepare and review construction programs, reports, drawings/sketches
- Provide technical support for contractual issues related to structural works
- Other relevant requirements as assigned by Project Manager/Project Director
Requirements
- Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent
- Possess MHKIE, MIStructE or MICE together with RPE (Civil or Structural Discipline) is must
- 15 + years of experience in major Civil or Building projects in private sector, with hands-on experience with large-scale ELS and deep basement construction. Knowledge of high-rise structural design is a significant plus.
- Strong ability to lead engineering teams across multiple projects
- Good command of spoken and written English & Chinese
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to multi-task in fast-paced environments
- Candidate with less experience will be considered for the post of Deputy Engineering Manager or Assistant Engineering Manager
